James Kenneth ''J.K.'' Elliott, 61, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014. He is the son of Virginia Leanos Elliott of Norfolk, VA and the late Clayton Homer Elliott, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne Lyles Elliott; daughter, Lindsey Lyles Goble and her husband, Thomas of Roanoke Rapids; son James Colby Lyles of Roanoke Rapids; mother, Virginia Leanos Elliott of Norfolk, VA; brother, Clayton ''Butch'' Homer Elliott, III of Norfolk, VA; godchildren, Alexandra ''Lexi'' Renesis of Virginia Beach, VA, Stephanie Mazarakis Zaller of Norfolk, VA, Joseph Pappas of Potomac, MD; mothers-in-law, Lizzie Carroll of Roanoke Rapids, and Lorene Lyles of Roanoke Rapids; sisters-in-law, Judith Gardner of Raleigh, Honour ''Deedee'' McKenzie and husband, Paul of St. Petersburg, FL, Jamie Harper and husband, Landon of Raleigh, Sloan Carroll of Raleigh, Kay Plyer and husband, Tim of Henrico; brother-in-law, Mike Lyles and wife, Marlene of Roanoke Rapids; aunts, Elizabeth ''Liz'' Alexopolas and Helen Snyder, both of Annapolis, MD; uncle, Gus Leanos and wife, Helene of Annapolis, MD; many cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Rosemary United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Bob Redmond and are being handled by Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends immediately after the committal service at Chockoyotte Country Club for a Celebration of Life.
